Ice cream.. I love any flavor of ice cream, as long as it's not chocolate ;)

Nothing at the moment..

d. When you are upset, you:
Clam up and hold it in until I explode.. yeah, not such a good way to deal with things!

e. Your favorite pet
We don't have any pets but I love my in-laws mutt Radar :)

f. Black or White
White. I love how crisp and clean it is, when it's not dirtied by little fingers that is! ;)

g. Biggest fear
Losing someone very close to me.

h. Best feature
I'd say my lips.. women pay big money for lips like these!

i. Everyday Attitude
Content, with a side of stress.  I worry about everything and the worry makes me stress out.

j. What is perfection
Being the best you can be!

k. Guilty pleasure
Reality tv- Teen Mom, The Real Housewives.  "Teen" shows- One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, The Secret Life.  And I usually watch these shows with milk and cookies in hand! :)

No more 'Neutral Nancy'..

Friday's Fashion Challenge was Neutrals.  I am QUEEN of neutrals so I did something a bit different.  I had picked up this cute top a few weeks ago and have been dying to wear it.  This is my new neutral.. neutrals with a bit of color.

Top: Marshalls
Cardi: Target
Khakis: Target
Shoes: Target
Bracelets: Walmart

I painted my nails purple to coordinate ;)
The colors in the top picture are horrendous, the bottom pic shows the colors better.  The top had blue, purple, magenta, green, red and pink on a beige background- so not neutral haha.  I paired it with a navy blue cardi, bronze gladiator sandals, purple nails and purple bracelets :)

Trend Challenge Thursday: Eclectic

Eclectic is WAY out of my comfort zone but I wanted to try it anyway.  Last week while I was out shopping with my sister I came across this skirt and she really pushed me to buy it.  A lot of times I like something but I don't LOVE it, so I leave it.  The fact that this skirt was 75% off helped me in my decision to buy this time.  And here it is...
(Please ignore the mess!!)
 Top: Walmart
Skirt: Delia's
Bracelets: Walmart
Shoes: (not shown) Target
How's that for accessorizing? :)

 Teardrop Necklace: Red Envelope
Peacock Necklace: Walmart

I really, really love this entire outfit put together like this!  I had originally planned to pair the skirt with a hot pink tank top but went with the blue shirt because it was relatively cool outside today.  I bought some cute accessories at Walmart and I think they totally helped pull it all together.  Oh, and I got more compliments at work today! :)  I REALLY love this outfit, did I mention that?!

Safari or Military..?

Well, since I screwed up yesterday's fashion challenge, I decided to search my closet for something that even resemebled military to make up for yesterday's goof.  And lo and behold, I found a cute dress and a linen jacket (that I bought 3 years ago and have never worn).. they were so nicely hung right next to each other!  I just don't know if this outfit says "military" or "safari". I'll stop talking now and just show you the outfit..

Dress:  Marshalls
Jacket: Jones NY (bought at Sam's Club)
Shoes: Flip flops from Target (not shown)

Earrings: I don't remember
Bracelet:  NY & Co.
Necklace: Red Envelope
I tried to accessorize a little bit different today but not really, haha.  And you can't really tell from the picture above but the dress has tan and yellow ruffles on the bust area.  I really love the way this outfit came together with little to no work needed!  Thanks for pushing me to try new things with this challenge, Casual Chick Kiki & Megan Mae Daily! :)

P.S. Thank you all for the encouragement and for leaving comments.  For whatever reason I'm not able to respond to comments on my blog or leave comments on anyone else's blog.. if you have a solution to that issue, please let me know! :)

Fashion Flub?!

Well, I thought the fashion challenge for today was "Sparkle".  WRONG! haha! It was supposed to be military & feminine.  Not like I have anything military in my wardrobe anyway.  So thinking today was sparkle, I searched high and low for anything with a little bit of sequence or beading or something sparkly.. all I found was a tank top.  Ok, now what?  I paired it with a black wrap shirt, white skirt, sandals and a pearl bracelet.  I thought it looked great this morning and the guys were complimenting me at work today but I think it may be a little boring!

Top: TJ Maxx
Tank: Old Navy
Skirt: H&M
Shoes: Target
Bracelet: Charlotte Russe (?)

I'm caught between love and hate with this outfit and I don't know why.  Oh well, better luck next time!

On another note, I do need to buy more accessories! I just wish my daughter wouldn't pull and chew on everything I wear.  I love adding chunky beaded bracelets to outfits so maybe I should get some different ones and throw those on after I drop the baby off at the sitter's house in the morning-  Now there's a thought ;)

Until next time! xoxo!

Weekend Wear: Bright & Sexy!

Saturday was a lazy day, the first lazy Saturday in MONTHS! Yes, you read that right!  We went to the flea market to find me a cute purse but nothing was catching my eye so we had a braided, grilled pretzel -delish- and then we went home to chill by the pool.  It was so nice to just sit and do nothing, we should plan lazy days more often!  I didn't wear anything cute because I was being lazy.

Sunday was our usual Sunday..  up early for church, lunch with the in-laws, an afternoon nap, pizza for dinner and an evening with family <3  I love when I don't have to add laundry to that list!  Anywho, here is my Sunday attire!

Top: Old Navy
Tank: Old Navy
Skirt: H&M
Shoes: Charlotte Russe
Flower clip: Sweet Little Monkey (my FB page)

My favorite pumps!
It is no easy feat walking in these with a 21lb. child on your hip! ;)

I felt like my young, hot self in this outfit and my husband's jaw dropped when he saw me all put together!  I think it's one of our new favorite outfits! ;)  I just need to find some cute accessories that I can pair with it.  How do you ladies think I did?!

Til next time!

Ang

Friday Finds: Eclectic Skirt

Hey y'all!  My babysitter went on vacation last week so I took vacation days on Thursday and Friday.  Thursday was spent poolside with some friends for some much needed R&R.. which wasn't really R&R with 2 babies that love water! ;)  Friday morning I called up my sister and she met me at the mall.  She's very fashion-forward so I wanted to pick her brain while we shopped.  I never realized how much I miss tube tops now that I have a clingy 13 month old!  Mandee had this super cute strapless dress but all I could see was my cute little girl squirming in my arms and exposing me to the world, so I didn't even bother!  I did try on that color block maxi dress but it was too form fitting for me.  I got a cute white tee and a pink tank top from Forever 21 but I found my special find at Delia's!

Can ya guess how much I paid for this cute little skirt?!
$10!!  I was beyond thrilled!

I'm not officially doing the fashion challenge with Casual Chic Kiki & Megan Mae Daily but I was shopping with that challenge in mind!  Because I don't have that great (or fun!) of a wardrobe, I'm participating on days that I know I can (without having to buy an entire week's wardrobe). This skirt will be part of my Thursday attire so stay tuned for that outfit! :)

Did you find any bargain items this weekend?!  If so, I'd love to hear about it!

"I WANT THAT!" Wednesday: Dresses!

I'm a woman.. I always want new things, just ask my husband! ;) I'm thinking Wednesday will be my designated "day of want" in hopes that I can buy on Friday (which just so happens to be pay day)!  On this week's list is a cool yet cute dress.  I'm all for staying cool in this Jersey heat!

Here are some dresses I'd love to have..

Love the vintage look of this one!
(And this model is GORGEOUS!)

Love the nautical stripe!

 Color Block Maxi Dress
Love this color block dress from Mandee!

Like I said above, I'm hoping to hit up the mall sometime this weekend so I can add a cute dress and some accessories to my wardrobe!  I wish we had good thrift stores in the area but unfortunately we don't.. I should check some consignment shops for cute clothes though!

If you could buy a new item this week, what would it be?

Weekend Wear: Happy 4th!

So on this weekend's agenda we had a graduation party, church, and a 4th of July BBQ!  Friday after work I hit up Target for some cute staples to add to my wardrobe- huge success!  Well, I didn't find many staples but I got a trench coat (for fall), 2 pair of skinny jeans, a short-sleeve cardi, a new wallet (that was badly needed!), and cute nail polish for $44- THAT was the success! ;)

Grad Party Attire:
Shirt - Marshalls
Shorts - Old Navy
Shoes - Target
Beaded Bracelet - NY&Co.

It was 90* and HUMID on Saturday, I wanted to be cool and cute :)

Church Attire:
Dress - JC Penney
Cardi - new from Target :)
Shoes - Famous Footwear
Bracelet - NY&Co.
Toe Polish - Sally Hansen from Target :)
Very "Stepford Wives" of me haha!

4th of July BBQ Attire:
Top - Walmart
Shorts - Kohl's
Shoes - Target
Bracelet - NY&Co.

As you can see, the bracelets from NY&Co. and my Target flip flops are a big part of my wardrobe!  Mostly because they are both neutrals and they pair well with basically anything!  I'm hoping to add more neutral staples to my wardrobe :)

Thanks for visiting!

Ang

And here goes..

My friend Tiffany from Breakfast with Tiffany has a great blog about her wardrobe and bits of her life as a mom and wife.  When I first read her blog I said to myself, "It can be done!"  Ya see, I'm a 23 year old mom to a gorgeous little girl and wife to my amazing husband.  Getting married at age 20 and having a baby at age 22 has dampened my love for fashion and being cute!  I've turned into one of those moms that just throws on whatever she can find while trying to get the kid(s) fed and out the door.. not a good place to be at age 23.  So I took Tiff's blog as a challenge to myself.. "Get back in the game!  You're young, you're beautiful and you need to do something to make yourself feel good again!"

I may not be able to blog about every outfit, everyday but I'm going to put effort into me again.  Buckle up and enjoy the ride! ;)

Ang
